“A haunting” Discovery Channel

When it comes to documentaries on ghost stories, Discovery channel has them all beat.
The show aired it’s full featured pilot on October 28, 2005. To my surprised, their research and portrayal of the haunted cases is fairly accurate.

When I first saw the pilot episode, it was a breath of fresh air. Tired of all the other so called “ghost evidence shows”, Discovery decided to recreate stories of the haunted in a personal manner. They interview the victims and have them narrate part of the story. The show’s writers and producers do not stray away from the testimonials of the victims/witnesses. Leading many to speculate the stories validity since it’s all based on a witness account and no evidence is shown. Then again, the show was not meant to debunk or investigate the claims. It’s merely a docu-drama show. So far, they’ve had 5 seasons and are still in production.

Fact or fiction, the shows does one hell of a job telling the stories. I can honestly say that most of the episodes that I’ve watched I have read about awhile back. The episodes do not stray away from the testimonials, and do not add any extras in the stories. Below is the first full featured pilot of the show.
