The object in the video is flying along at a steady pace the entire time at at the same elevation, it has all the signs of an inflated object being carried by the wind with some sort of weight below it to keep it steady. In any case, the video is not of good enough resolution to make anything out. Despite all the claims made, I think this is a stunt for publicity to draw tourists.

Two things about the face to face encounter with the police officer:

First, it is very reminiscent of the Spring Heel Jack encounters of teh mid 1800's, and a few odd later.

Second, where is responsible reporting of a news story?? The officer claims this figure dropped onto the hood of his car, and no reporter thinks to show the hood of the car? A body dropping onto the hood of a car is going to make a dent. It is this little bit of corroboration that can make all the difference.

On the whole it sounds like a practical joke, as even the investigators of the original Spring Heel Jack believed.

All I can say is those Primer Impacto news chicks are always smokin hot!

Sometimes I happen to be surfing by that channel when the news is on and catch myself 10 minutes later still staring at the news anchors.

Fred,

Thanks for the compliments.

Yea, "it's" and "its" is one of the repetitive mistakes that I make.
Also, I always type victory when wanting to type Victor.

I'll try and watch my grammar. :)

"its" difficult sometimes. (j/k)

I love this site -- really outstanding work among a sea of paranormal baloney sites out there.

Please, oh please though -- tell Javier that "it's" is a contraction of "it is." "Its" (the possessive form, as in "The dog scratches its skin" never gets an apostrophe.

Nitpicky, I know.

bablon1919,

thanks for the links.
I'm convinced that the police office did witness something out of the ordinary. What it is, I'm sure we will never find out. Mass hysteria has hit that town before, and accounts of flying "witches" have been reported.

The youtube video was not very good in my opinion. Adding graphics to simulate the entity running is not very scientific. It's just the perception of the viewer. They see this entity running on top of a hill. The video is very inconclusive.

I like your take on this. La Muerte was the first thing that ran on my mind when I saw the video. Mexican folklore at it's best I guess.
Interesting enough though. Thanks

that is not a witch...it is Santa Katarina!
Santa Muerte
Saint Death
the 'wraith'!

She is Mother Mary's chief rival for GODDESS #1 in Mexico's catholic population - those who seek her out tend to be fringe, outcast, or otherwise outside of general society as well as those who run the underworld such as drugs, prostitution and such.

She is venerated by mostly all in Mexico on the Day of the Dead - <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Dead" rel="nofollow">Dia de los Muertos</a>

This is certainly no joke or hoax - and that young policeman's account testifies to the fact that he was nearly scared senseless without any alternative cause likely.

I was looking into this last night and somewhere I read that there were three other people who saw St. Kat that night as well as two or three other policemen (who perhaps were in neighboring towns?)

Following my comments will be links to some of the pages I visited and there are links on the pages which I followed, too - for anyone interested in looking more deeply into this.

It is a VERY odd occurrence!

<a href="http://www.cropcircleanswers.com/FlyingHumanoid.htm" rel="nofollow">Crop Circle Answers</a>
<a href="http://www.rense.com/general48/entity.htm" rel="nofollow">Rense</a>

There is also an intriguing amateur analysis of the video at YouTube. What is interesting to me is that it seems that the entity is hop-skipping across the mountain top when possible and then taking to the air otherwise. The video also makes the shadow-specter quality of the entity very evident as well as the obvious human characteristics in the body motion. Of course the person sharing the analysis also shares opinions, too. I found these interesting but I'm not sure they are anything other than personal imagination.
