Ghost of Felipe: ghost of a child captured on video

‘Grupo Paranormal’ (Paranormal group from Tijuana Mexico) claim to have video taped a ghost of a young boy in a house that is supposedly haunted.
The group, based in the border city of Tijuana Mexico, received an urgent call from Raul Palacios, a father concerned that poltergeist activity in his home was attacking his daughter. Mr. Palacios being skeptical from the beginning did not really want to acknowledge that what was going on in his home was something that was beyond his control.
NOTE: The video that follows has a lengthy conversation between the host of the show and Mr. Palacios and two members of the ‘Grupo Paranormal’ team. So I decided that instead of doing a word-by-word translation, I will just summarize what is said on the interview.
Mr. Palacios (seen on the video with a red shirt) said that he’s been a skeptic all his life when it came to the paranormal. He does not believe in ghosts or hauntings. It wasn’t until earlier this year that it all changed for him. Mr. Palacios’ daughter started to see a ghost of a young boy around their home. At various times of the day, in various parts of the house. It wasn’t until his daughter decided to ask the ghost what he wanted that the ghost started to communicate with her, telling her that he was afraid of a dark shadow and did not want to be left alone.
Sensing that his daughter might be going crazy or delusional from her pregnancy (she was late stages of her pregnancy) Mr. Palacios blew this off as just imagination. One day, he and the rest of his family began to see physical manifestations of the poltergeist. Objects being hurled around the home, strange noises and voices could be heard around the home. At times, his daughter would say that the spirit of the boy pleaded with her not to leave him alone in the house. Whenever the family would leave the house, the daughter could see the ghost of the little boy looking out the window.
After a few months of this poltergeist activity, Mr. Palacios thought that it was possible that there was some phenomenon inside his home that could not be logically explained. Still skeptical, it was not until the ghost of the little boy started to appear itself to the rest of the family that Mr. Palacios knew that his home was haunted. In one instance, he was in the living room watching television, when he witnessed his daughter exiting their bathroom and all of a sudden, from across the room, an object [plate I think] was thrown at her.
He seeked help from a local church, only to have the poltergeist activity come right back at full force. Desperate and not knowing who to ask, Mr. Palacios contacted the Tijuana based paranormal team.
The team brought in a medium that was able to confirm the story of the ghost’s fear of another shadow being inside the home.
This shadow being, was the one causing the poltergeist attacks on the family. According to the paranormal group, the medium said that it was the the boy’s father that was tormenting the boy like he did in real life. The medium claims that the father killed and buried the body in the property.
With the help of the medium, they were able to cleanse the home. Only to find out that the shadow being was the only entity that had left. To this day, the ghost of the little boy remains in the house. Giving a message to the medium saying that he is staying in order to protect the unborn baby and the mother.
During the next few months, the daughter was the only person to see Felipe running about the house.
No one else saw him. After the birth of her baby, the daughter did not see Felipe’s ghost any more.
To this date, there has been no further poltergeist activity reported in the Tijuana household.
Notes on the video:
If you forward to about the 3:00 minute mark, you can see what the team claims to be Felipe peeking through a 1 1/2 inch gap between the wall and the T.V.
According to the team, the attacks and poltergeist activities were only caused by the shadow being, since after it had left, there were no other attacks on the daughter.
It’s an odd story, something that I’ve heard before that happens to either young girls reaching puberty or pregnant women. As far as the video is concerned, I see a light/reflection on the tv stand. I do not however see the ghost of Felipe

I find odd the speed the light anomaly (I’ll call it that since I don’t want to label it a ghost) comes out of the corner. True or not, it’s a good story.

It’s not a ghost. This is caused by shadows and the use of the night vision feature. As the camera continues to pan right it creates the effect of something moving from “behind” the television. As the camera zooms in the image disappears. This is a trick of perception and not paranormal.

I agree with you, I mentioned on my post that it might be a reflection of either IR/camera light.
The only thing I cannot explain by looking at the video is the rate of acceleration in which this light dashes out. I think it’s my eyes playing tricks on me.

The only thing I can suggest is to view the video full screen, watch the middle of the video with your eyes while looking for the “ghost” with your peripheral vision. You will notice that the image comes into view as the camera pans to the right (by watching the orange bar and wording on top you can see the camera movements easier), it stays as the camera remains motionless for a moment then seems to fade as the camera pans and zooms.
The obvious cause of this is the bright light source (camera) to the right, this is probably reflecting on the lens causing this image just as the camera recording hits the right point. It’s just an illusion. I am not doubting any sightings or activity that may have happened at this site, but the video in question looks to be a simple misinterpretation of reflection. It would be hard to set up the room and film exactly the same again, but it should be attempted if possible to see if the same results can be met.

Makes perfect sense. Now that I blow it up a bit, I can sort of tell what you are talking about.
You’re right, it would be difficult to test this out again. I think the story was compelling enough to add credibility to the video.

It is quite difficult to make out-however I am able to see something move and momentarily appear to peak around the television set. Interesting story-I have not heard of this case before.

Also, the image bounces out of sync with the camera – makes me think it is a reflection off of the lens, or it was digitally (and poorly) placed in.
Here is my take on this mess-
first off, this video is not a great resolution- especially for the arduous visual analysis is needed to confirm this. This prevents us from seeing the rest of the room, and it’s alternate light sources in the video- as well as we need to see the room as it was.
second off, I’ve logged the visuals from the video
(first time it is looped) to see exactly what this motion that is being identified was.
3:10-3:11 a indistinguishable blob comes out suddenly from the right of the television. It’s sudden, and in comparison to the earlier shot of the situation- it is opaque and slightly light reflecting. The blob is vaguely humanoid, it’s ‘face’ at least. The rest is a vague wash with no distinguishable parts but a dark torso, only slightly illuminated. This could be awkward lighting playing with a bad resolution, like impressionism uses to make a solid object. It could also be a altered tape, at least in light of the next part.
3:12-3:13 the blob wobbles, or is assumed to since the camera seems stationary. It maintains it’s former properties.
3:14-3:18 the blob suddenly breaks up, and it’s most distinguishable part, the ‘face’ is gone.
3:18-3:40 all anomalous light reflection breaks up, and dissipates.
It’s not to say that my prior attempts at explaining the object away are right- but either a possibility. Or a third, it’s legit.
I find the fact it doesn’t seem affected by the environment(it acts almost two-dimensional), with the exception of the reflected light, intriguing.
Firstly I really like this site – thanks for setting it up and giving us all a place to come to for advice etc.
As for the video: personally I think there is something there!
Since you all have done a complete job of deciphering what is being seen, I don’t feel the need to touch on the artifact at hand. The only relevant material I can add is to the story. Having been pregnant myself on occasion:o) I am very much aware that eyesight changes and blurs temporarily in the pregnant woman. While this doesn’t discount the light artifact or the “poltergeist activity,” it may have something to do with the daughters sightings.
Now, I would just like to say that I find it rather annoying and quite distracting when it is found necessary to throw banners right in the middle of the screen!

I was talking about the large orange one that I can’t decipher
But, it seems many many videos are re-posted online with station call letters etc right in the middle of the video. I find that so distracting! I would love to have raw, unedited video that just plays straight through. Call me finicky….
