Its all hokey, made up to sell books and movies, like the Exorcist and Amytiville.
Ghost hunters now on their 100th episode and still nothing that can’t be explained by natural causes.
Recently a team of scientist set up shop at Eastern State penitentiary, reputedly the most haunted place in America.
Their conclusions, people who are religious or want to believe will experience paranormal activity, Sceptics for the most part won’t.
Paranormal experiences can be explained by ultrasound, and natural
though high emf, supposed EVPs are from sound invasion, or the reflection of the investigators.

I am now watching The Entity on tv and decided to look up the real story on wikipedia. Therefore I was led to this site. However, I have had my own experience with the paranormal as well as my family too. Now it was never to the extreme where we were physically attacked, but we would see and hear things all of the time. It got to the point where we sort of became used to it, and then whatever spirit or thing it was calmed down and left us alone for awhile. Then when we began to move out of the house everything started up again, as if it were upset that we were leaving. Then once we moved we never saw or heard anything again. We had the next house blessed, however my younger brother and I are still afraid of the dark becuase of what we experienced, but we believers of the paranormal/supernatural and I am glad to be free of that place. I actually think the city that the house was in was huanted becuase we had a neighbor from the next street tell us she saw things in her home as well. Unexplainable but definitely true.

I’ve always been fascinated by the paranormal. Ever since I was a child I have experienced and seen things and spirits that cannot be explained. When I was a child, of course these events terrified me, but today as an adult it doesn’t bother me, just something that happens. I remember (and NO I was not dreaming) a time when I had just laid down to go to bed and switched positions to face the outside of the bed. When I did this I came face to face with a doberman pincher growling at me-probably the most frightening experience I ever had. Other things like footsteps, and by footsteps I mean hearing them from the back room, through the kitchen, down the hall way and up to the bathroom door when I was washing my face. I went to the door immediately and nothing was there. I never talked about it with my parents, but was astonished to find out my mother and father had similar experiences while in that house, but simply tried to keep it from my sister and I (or so they thought). Things happen to me still, but not in the sense of it being in my home. Things show up, but don’t necessarily reside here – meaning it happens anywhere, like a psychic…I loved the fact that finally someone took the time to look into the facts of this case and I thank you for this Javier, I hope at a later point in time you will have more information.

i remember first seeing the film the entity the yr it came out. and i just came upon it again on netflix so i just watched it again. i have to say that i am an athiest so to say that i believe the story is true would be admitting there is a god.(faith is a gift i was never given) and i know the ??? would be how do you explain that her children saw and experienced it too. and that taft and his buddy also saw and experienced strange things. a ?? i cant answer nor understand.and please don,t misunderstand me i,m not putting down faith or religion.. i,m just one of those people who has to see it for myself. and iv,e never witnessed a miracle or any kind of spiritual being.. i wish i would so i could be given the gift of faith

Its funny how research works out, that I bring myself to come to this website.

I’ve been having unnatural things happen in my home. Things I thought I’d might be afraid of but I’m not. People may think bumps in the night is scary or objects moving on their own is frightening but that’s not the type of thing happening in my home. The lights flicker on and off. The vaccum will turn on for about five minutes when its not plugged in. The water in the bathroom tub will start running when no one is in there. And the destinct smell of rotting flesh over flowing in my hallway. My therepist thinks I’m crazy, off my rocker, losing my mind. But since he doesnt believe me I’ve come to the point where I’m doing my own research. Believing the impossible in my book. I didn’t believe in ghosts or the paranormal until I moved into my home.

I started doing research on the paranormal and it lead me to the story of Doris, her activity is similar to mine. Similar to where it feels like someone is pinning me down, breathing down my neck, tugging my hair just slightly. After a few moments it just goes away.

If there are readers out there that don’t beleive in the paranormal, I understand where your coming from and how you feel toward it. But know this, after experiancing this turn of events, I quickly became a believer. I’m moving out of my home in two weeks and I’ve only lived here for three months. That’s how frightened I became.

I think you are right. The victims did not receive proper closure to this horrible event. We don’t even know if it was 100% Psychokinetic.

Doris Bither did have some deep-seated psychological problems. Enough to cause heavy psychokinetic phenomena? I’d say no. Then again, it all depends on the individual.

I wish that there was more interest in the human factor in this case, as opposed to Scientists focusing on the phenomena at play.

I my self a former investigator and debunker, feel that this poor family have been cheated from proper closure to this case, like so many that have called in such help, and in the end been used as lab rats. I feel that if the means were in my grasp, I would give this poor family the closure they sourly have been denied. A proper investigation, not one for proof of fact of the paranormal, but at the same time, seeking to find out Whom/What these Psychokinetic Entity’s are, so as to find a peaceful resolution, or expulsion. If neither can be found, then the search of a better defense. I my self in cases where in my amateur investigation, I have not been able to debunk a phenomena, have sought to understand it so as to find a defense, control, or a method of permanent dispersant of such powers. Over time I have come up with a few theory’s on these things and a system of classification to organize them. In this case, I’d place this Haunt under a class 5 Activity. meaning that this is a Hybrid Phenomena of Psychoactive Poltergeist Spirit(s) enhanced by psycho eitheric radiance, Meaning in plain English, this is a preexisting spirit that feeds off of the power-plant in our skull called a brain, the more scared, angry, violent, and/or emotionally active we are, the stronger it is to become, and it turns our own emotionally driven psychokinetic properties against us, with the energy it gains to amplify, so as to get what it wants. In the case of Bither’s Family the Entity’s goal was total “Hegemonic Domination.” With this all said I offer my assistance to this case, in what way I can help, I will.

I don’t know whether there are such things as ghosts or not as I have never encountered one, but after reading what went on with this family it does get my attention. My question is this….This happened so long ago…Why is Brian Harris coming out after all these years, wanting to tell his story? No offense, but how can you be certain that he is actually one of Doris Bither’s children?

The initial report released on scientific journals by Dr. Barry Taff reported that Doris Bither herself had mentioned that the beings appeared to be Asian.

Doris’ sons cannot confirm that, since when they saw these being, they were ‘translucent outlines’. No facial features.

If I were to ascribe paranormal causes to cases like Doris Bither’s, I would most definitely look at poltergeists. Often times you hear about tension within a family driving these experiences. The activity may have been centered around Doris, but she may not have been the only one fueling it. Some people believe that intense and prolonged negative emotions can create beings called ‘thoughtforms’, which take on a sentience and free will of their own. A thoughtform wouldn’t necessarily need its creators to be present in order to manifest; they may be able to feed and sustain themselves merely on the negative reactions they evoke from others.

Javier, one part of the interview confuses me. Above Brian Harris is quoted as saying that the apparitions were most definitely not Asian in appearance. But in a later comment of yours on the article
“The Entity” haunting: The true story of Doris Bither”, you say that he told you they did in fact look Asian. Did he change his story?
