I too think this this may be a case of self built shoddy workmanship. It lasted 10 years and then started to malfunction. However, there definitely could be some sort of electrical interference that's traveling by air in the house. I just think there's an explanation here. Maybe it’s a poorly made house and after settling and shifting, pressure breaks the windows. Maybe sparks shoot from the sockets and land on the towels and other objects to burn them.

I think a camera would definitely solve this mystery.

There has to be an explanation for heat spikes or electic sockets burning. Placing cameras won't show anything, there's somthing in the structure of the house, or in waves crossing the house, that causes this. After all it is all one phenomenon: things get very hot. Some of them burn, some boil, some don't. You have to ask what's the common thing to all those things that are affected by the phenomenon, and then try think of something that interacts with them all. Then speculate a theory and test the area around the house to see if your theory is correct. This doesn’t look paranormal at all to me.
