Although I'm not a religious man, I am spiritual and do believe in cleansing homes. I do believe in residual energy, so I cleanse my place from time to time. Burn a little sage, say some prayers. As a Christian I do believe that possession is a distinct possibility. However, IMO most occurrences are related to mental illness. As you said Javeir, I'd have to see some evidence but of course if it helps people that are have some sort or hysterical episodes then it wouldn't really matter. I do think it's much more difficult to rid someone of an evil entity than to calm them from a self induced episode. It just makes sense. People can call me crazy but I will not move into a new home without it going thru a cleansing ceremony. Further, IMO this cleansing should be done at least once a year as you never know what a person might carry into your house. I would think that if cleansings were done more often there wouldn't be a chance for these possessions to take place. Call me crazy but I am open minded as well as contemporary.
