Douglas Urbanski,

That piece of "trivia" information was on Youtube. Posted by Crackle.com
not me.

Since it is a rumor, I'd be happy to remove it.

I'm a big fan of Mr. Oldman, so it struck me as odd to read that as well.

Your comment about Gary being drunk is a damned lie--and indeed very hurtful to him. These stories about him on the set of Dracula have been around and even been published for ages. Mr. Oldman was hurt when they first appeared, and he is repeatedly hurt when others repeat them. For a while he (we) attempted to find the actual original source for the stories, but we were unsuccessful. We have our ideas of where they started but were unable to prove it. Mr. Oldman has never ever been on a film set known as anything other than an extremely dedicated and prepared professional through out his entire career. Even Frances, when asked about this over the years has verified that Gary was not drunk.

As to the specific scene you refer to, I personally was there that day--everyone was sober and working hard.

It is my most sincere hope that you will remove the offensive rumor as soon as you can. It would be, truly, much appreciated.

If you want to know who I am, feel free to google or wiki me!

all the best,
