Pennsylvania Bigfoot video….ugh!

From YouTube information:

Residents of this small Pa. town are concerned of recent sightings and strange noises being heard at night of what appears to be some sort of big foot human looking type creature. The creature though, is white in color. A homeowner captured this footage after they heard a disturbance in the back yard of their wooded property. This homeowner and others in this town had previously heard strange noises and disturbances for the last two weeks or so prior to this being captured on film.

Oh no, I hope we don’t start off 2010 with a flurry these fake Sasquatch videos.

Making its rounds on the internet there is this YouTube video (filmed in HD) of a supposed white colored Bigfoot (Yeti?). Now I’m pretty open-minded about a lot of things. I always tend to report on both sides of the story and then make up my mind once the facts are clear. That’s what I hope GhostTheory does for you guys.

I think as we go into the year, we will be seeing more of these faked videos. Probably due to kids or immature adults getting new HD cameras for Christmas and have nothing better to do.

Anyways, in this clear video we see a guy filming as he is walking through some Pennsylvania woods. Walking at night with a camera and a flashlight he quickly shines his light over to a tree in which there appears to be a stereotypical face of a Yeti peeking at him. At which point it turns and runs off. The camera’s man reaction? “What was that?

Really? “What was that?

That’s the best reaction you have when you run into a Yeti looking creature in the woods at night? Also, wtf was he doing in the woods at night with a flashlight? If there’s one lesson “Blair Witch” teaches us is to stay away from the woods at night. In fact, stay away from the woods.

    Javier,

I’ve spent lots of time in the woods at night. One of my best friends was kicked out of his house at the age of 15 and he had an awesome cabin deep in the woods of rural NWPA. Many times we would walk to the cabin in pitch darkness without a flashlight. Furthermore, some freaky stuff happened at times up there.

As it happens I just returned from my small PA hometown where I was visiting my family over Christmas. My hometown is surrounded by miles and miles of forestland.

As for this video, I haven’t really studied it extensively but I did freeze it a couple of times and it was a bit freaky on that full frontal face frame. I imagine it probably is a hoax but as I said, I’d have to look at it more. You seem convinced that it is in fact a hoax Javier. What did you see?

  • jbondo,

I hope you didn’t take my comment about being in the woods the wrong way. I’m just a paranoid individual. You wouldn’t catch me in the woods at night with a flashlight. Unless I had like 10 people with me or so.

Anyways, I think the fact that the “thing” in the video is so suspicious looking, it made me jump to it being a hoax. Looks like a bad ‘yeti costume’. Not to mention his reaction to see a beast like that in the woods. There was also no follow up investigation, no reports of that “awful stench” many reported smelling when encountering said creatures.

    This smells fake to me…

Oh Pulease . . . that is a total hoax . . no if, and or big fat butts!

Thanks Javier, you saved me having to waste my time. I was in a hurry yesterday and just froze it without really looking to hard.

As for your woods comments, don’t be silly! I know you weren’t trying to offend anyone. You could have been all out sarcastic and I probably would have laughed.

You know, there’s something really familiar about that first freeze frame above. Like I’ve seen the very same thing before somewhere.

Another thing to think about is the color. Animals tend to blend in with their surroundings as a defensive mechanism. It doesn’t make sense that an all white creature would survive in the woods of PA, let alone stay undetected.

  • jbondo says:

red, there are albinos throughout the animal kingdom as well as animals that turn very light in the winter. When you’re looking up at a PA mountainside in winter a great deal of what you see is snow.

I still say that the first time you freeze on the face it looks freaky. Frankly I think this is one of the best hoaxes seen in a long time. JMO.

This does seem suspicious by the two facts that the beam of the flashlight seems very small and just happens to catch the head of the subject perfect, which by itself is only a little notable, but also the person holding the camera had way too minimal of a reaction to something that would have probably caused many people to run, scream, or jump to the point where the camera would have shaken.

  • redngreen says:

jbondo, I hadn’t thought of that. I was thinking more along the lines of there being a family of white ones, which would be tough to go undetected for too long (except in snow of course). And I have to agree with you on it looking freaky when you freeze the shot!
