The BFRO just posted this YouTube video. Much more clarity when watching this on Blu-Ray and a large LED screen:

Youtube BFROVIDEOS:

Wally Hersom and Matt Moneymaker examine the Great North figure. This is the Blu-Ray version shown on a large Sanyo LED monitor. It shows more clarity than anything we’ve seen before, and more clearly reveals the figure to be a human wearing dark clothes — likely a crew person directing the caribou herd.

I think we all knew what this was from the get-go. Good job on BFRO’s side.

It is definitely a man. He looks to have a black stocking cap on. He is doing exactly what I suspected yesterday and that is redirecting the animals for the filming. I think the reason he may not look very effective in this shot is because this is just one very short snippet of what I’m sure was hours and hours of filming for the project.

You can see in the last frame where the guy puts his left hand over his head, almost pushing himself down. Like he had one of those “oh $hit, I’m on camera, better duck” moments. If they were wearing radios, that makes sense. Human no doubt however.

  • Good for you to bring this out. See, this is why I like your blog so much. You cover all angels and nothing gets by you. Thanks for your integrity!

Nice clarity. I think this was obvious from the start, but this is a really good look at it.

they say it’s a man, and people still think it’s a bear? Glad to have conclusive evidence and not opinionated ramblings. And people were SO sure it wasn’t humanoid, and 100% sure it was a bear. Just shows even skeptics get it wrong most of the time too.

omg. i think people try to hard to see things. its a damn bear.

  • Gary says:

Its a bear? Did you watch the video?

  • jbondo says:

Joanna, you may want to rethink your analytical reasoning a bit. Have you ever even seen a bear?

It’s not even questionable anymore, it is a person.
