What ever happened to the good quality paranormal shows like “In search of…” or “Sightings”?

We don’t have any quality investigative shows like those. Back in the day it was something else, wasn’t it? Although they are the same type of stories, for some reason they were a bit more scarier to me back in the day.
Today’s television is all about ‘reality TV’ and predictable shows like Ghost Hunters and Paranormal State. *yawwwn*
