Moscow UFO: No Chinese Lantern Here

Moscow UFO: No Chinese Lantern Here

This footage was captured at approx 1:30am MSK/MSD on August 1.

The video shows a bright orangish object which seems to be taking off from the top of a building. It then proceeds to climb and level off. At certain intervals it hovers and then takes off at a higher rate of speed. As we watch it actually turns around. Chinese lanterns do not turn around…Unless of course they have built in guidance systems. Of course not many people would spend the money to make an intelligent Chinese lantern.

This is in the running for a credible UFO sighting and video. My only reservation is the take off which could add an artificial aspect to the whole thing. We all know of the advanced RC vehicles. Is this just a large RC helicopter or a military drone being tested from a roof top?

I could be wrong but UFO sightings worldwide have been increasing rapidly over the past couple of years. We’ve seen a definite jump in China, however that could be due to their economy. More people are able to afford video cameras and computers as well as expanded access to the internet. Add to that the Chinese government opening up a little more to the outside world and it all adds up to more reports. Lets also not forget that Russia has had it’s fair share of sightings as well, one of which we see documented in this article.

Maybe I’ll do a little research for the GT faithful and report the statistical data. I have seen data out there that shows increases. Are these numbers skewed or artificially inflated because of technology and/ or openness or are there actually more UFOs in our skies? Are more people interested, therefore we have more eyes to the skies?

OF course something else is on the rise as well: fakes, hoaxes, unscrupulous people trying to fool the masses. In fact if we are going to talk about increase we can’t deny that this aspect is a big part of the equation.

We may never know if the increase is real or imagined but one thing I can say is this video has potential just due to the fact that I didn’t cast it into the garbage bin.
