Rick Dyer’s Dead Bigfoot Saga: UPDATE

Rick Dyer’s Dead Bigfoot Saga: UPDATE

UPDATE:

According to the Tribece Films Institute website there IS a project titled:

SHOOTING BIGFOOT (aka OF MONSTERS AND MEN) (2011 TFI/Insurgent Fellowship)
Morgan Matthews, Director

Of Monsters and Men is a fascinating and touching portrait of men who are obsessed with monsters and their adventures to find them.

According to the Minnow Films website Morgan Matthews is a Director involved with that organization.

Just a reminder, Rick Dyer was involved in the admitted fraud of the dead bigfoot kept in a freezer in Georgia that turned out to be a gorilla suit.

Next he is said to have shot another bigfoot during filming of a documentary and had that creature taken away from him by the documentary crew, who then severed all ties with him. The corpse is reported to have been taken to a “major university” that remains unnamed.

You can read our coverage of this saga in these stories:

Musky Allen, self proclaimed skeptic, is claiming the recent Rick Dyer claim to be absolutely true, and that he has personally seen the body

Musky Allen interview part 1

I have to say, from Musky’s interview, he knows nothing about how an autopsy is performed and gains no credibility in his description.

So here is part two of the interview

Let us take a minute to reflect. Rick Dyer claimed that a dead bigfoot was in his possession and it turned out to be an ape suit. Years later Dyer is approached by a British documentary crew to assist them in finding bigfoot, despite the fact he is an admitted fraud. He does so, and in the course of filming he shoots the creature. That documentary crew confiscates the body and severs all ties with Dyer and has the body delivered to a “major university.” Despite having severed all ties, Dyer is still granted access to the corpse to the extent he is permitted to bring guests to see it. That corpse is being stored in or near Las Vegas, so despite the fact that the university is kept secret, it is now likely hinted to be University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Given the circumstances there are of course some doubts about Dyer and now Allen’s claims. There are substantial inaccuracies in Musky Allen’s statement, as well as discrepancies in the various reports around this story.

Musky Allen goes on to claim:

I’d also like to mention about people’s comments on why my word isnt important like ‘Jeff Meldrums’ would be, and that i was paid to lie!! Fact is, I exhausted myself to try and arrange Jeff Meldrum to accompany me with repeated emails…Instead his ego and greed was more important requesting his ‘Standard’ appearance fee (in the tune of $5,500 even though there was to be no filming) paid accommodations, and full travel expenses paid was the response. Based on that, Meldrums scientific approach was about ‘Getting paid’ to use his name, NOT to validate any discovery which i tried to do!! Lastly, I’ll say this again. I 100% stand behind what i saw, this was a Sasquatch!

Word of this has gotten to Dr. Jeff Meldrum and he has responded in a post on his Facebook page:

I was just read a passage over the phone from a post by Mr. Allen claiming he made repeated attempts via email to invite me to go to Las Vegas, but that I requested my “usual appearance fee” of $5500. LOL. This is a bald-faced lie. I checked to see if I might have missed ANY email correspondence from Mr. Allen and have nothing in my inboxes. Let Mr. Allen produce the emails from me. He can’t. WHAT DOES THIS SAY ABOUT THE RELIABILITY OF THE REMAINDER OF HIS TESTIMONY?

I hope Spike TV is finding this all very amusing. The bulk of people interested in Bigfoot believe that what we have been seeing in the recent months is a direct result of the $10,000,000 bounty that Spike has placed on definitive proof of bigfoot.
