People throw away the darndest things. That fact does not make any of that trash evidence of anything.

WikiLeaks UFO Cable A Hoax

Submitted by on January 19, 2011 – 9:57 AM63 Comments | 6,352 views

I was reading today on the popular site, io9.com, that the hokey website AllNewsWeb which is ran by Michael Cohen has been given an official WikiLeaks cable about UFOs. Let me just quickly say that ever since the site came online around 2008 and stepped into the paranormal news scene, it has created more rumors than any other site that I’ve seen online. Most of AllNewsWeb content is comical at best.

Let’s read the supposed leaked UFO cable:

A source from within the inner circle of the Wikileaks team has confidentially leaked to All News Web the content of a State Dept cable, concerning UFO affairs, that Wikileaks has declined to upload onto their website.

The cable states: “It is critical all embassy staff understand that they are not to discuss under any circumstance concerns DOD has with UFOs entering orbit, once again the seriousness of this matter cannot be overstated”

The cable was sent on 9 November, 2005 by the State Dept to a diplomat connected to the US embassy in Kiev, Ukraine. As it implies, the State Dept was concerned with diplomats with loose tongues chatting about UFOs at cocktail parties and conceding that the US does allocate resources to the matter. Due to the fact that UFO and alien affairs fall within the absolute highest level of secrecy and security clearance it is hardly surprising that Julian Assange has chosen, as a safety measure, not to reveal such information.

Editor”s note: It appears that while our Governments are deeply worried about the bubble bursting on the way they do business behind closed doors they are taking no chances at all on the public’s bubble bursting on the alien and UFO issue.

Our record on the Wikileaks UFO connection is good. The initial question posed to Assange on the UFO issue was asked by an avid All News Web reader from Germany and we were informed by him with seconds of Assange’s response. We have received many emails on the matter since then, however this has been the first piece of information of real interest.

You have to be careful about Cohen’s claim. I don’t know the man, and I don’t want to judge him. All I have to go by is what type of articles get posted on his website, either by him or his staff of writers. Over sensationalized articles is what makes up the site.

I’m just surprised that io9.com is actually trying to following this lead. Not that they are supposed to know how AllNewsWeb works or anything.

I HIGHLY doubt anything that comes from AllNewsWeb. So I’m calling this one out.

The following two tabs change content below.
I'm a writer, a runner, and a hell of a coffee drinker residing in Los Angeles. I'm currently working on a book about Doris Bither and her terrifying account of a haunting in Culver City, California. The case was dubbed "The Entity" and it stands to be one of the most controversial cases ever to be studied by parapsychologists.

All apologies for posting two comments thought the first one didn’t go through. Didn’t realize they were reviewed. I certainly understand why they would have to be though with the lame O posts I’ve been seeing from the allhoaxweb puss toots.

    Richard Dolan just burned allnewsweb.com

    LMAO

It has been turned into DUST now. DEAD and GONE.

Also Javier check your facebook and add me damnit.

I’m very surprised at io9 for two statements they made concerning this story:

    1) “I’m inclined to believe that this leak could be real, if only because it’s so ambiguous.”

Ambiguity is now a reason to believe?

    2) “Many are calling this a hoax, which seems reasonable. But there has been no official word from Wikileaks on the matter yet.”

So, Wikileaks’ failure to deny/confirm the story lends credibility to the story? Am i guilty of robbing a bank until i deny robbing a bank?

Maybe i’m old school, but i’ll stick with the words of Carl Sagan: “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.”

It’s the message, not the messenger. Sometimes truth comes from the opposite corner from where we expected it to.

I am not even going to look at the video anyway. I am here to say that my son, myself, and my friend all saw a triangular shaped craft w/lights (7?) on the sides. It dashed from one part of the sky to another in a moment.
I didn’t want to see it. I don’t obsess about it, but it was there.

    > I have investigated a lot of Michaels articles and I have found them to be credible in the sence that he did not make them up

    not true.

Cohen frequently posts CGI hoaxes. Also, back when Cohen allowed comments, we asked him to provide sources for his information. He hotly refused. This forced me to spend dozens of minutes tracking down his sources; they were almost always in Asian or East European languages, and untraceable — or so Cohen thought. A little babelfish treatment usually found that Cohen had taken reports of lights, meteors and balloons, at which local officials shrugged their shoulders, and re-written them into sensational anomolies that mystified authorities. Simply put, Cohen took bland reports and turned them into paradigm-shifting events. The worst one was when Cohen grabbed a photo from a Raelian website and claimed it was a new UFO embassy built by the Chinese government — a bald-faced lie he could not defend when called out.

Michael Cohen is a liar and a coward. His is the only UFO site I’ve seen where the readers always challenged the BS posted. Cohen always fought with his readers in the comments, finally doing away with that section when he couldn’t stand the fact-checking. And of course he blocks fact-checkers (myself included) from commenting on his youtube channel. The man has no interest in facts: he already knows the truth and everything he sees confirms it. The man is demented.

Yet despite all this, Cohen’s site is only the second-worst UFO site on the internet (Whales in Space is always #1).
