Black banded Cigar UFOs Spotted in Several States

Black banded Cigar UFOs Spotted in Several States

As I keep track of MUFON reports more and more lately I have noticed some obvious trends. I’ve been waiting patiently for a good picture or Video to come out regarding the multiple sightings in the KC area of Missouri but so far nothing good has surfaced.

Even more perplexing is the rash of sightings that involves a cigar shaped UFO with a black band around the center. This UFO has been witnessed in several states over the last couple of months.

The object/s in question are long and slender in nature with a distinct black band or center.

Although there are several reports that could be related, I’m only including those that are more recent and specifically mention the black band.

The following are reports from Deleware, Michigan and Minnesota.

Multiple ‘black band’ cigar UFOs reported over Delaware

A Delaware witness reports watching two silver, cigar-shaped objects “with a black band in the middle” while driving along a rural road, according to October 10, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness said the object was observed lower than an airplane – about 10,000 feet in altitude – when a second, identical object was noticed.

“I saw one, then the other about a mile behind it in a straight line,” the witness stated. “I pulled over and got out of the car and tried to take pictures with cell phone, but did not show up on camera. I saw no wings. They were cigar-shaped with a black band in the middle. The same as pictured in Roger Marsh’s September 29, 2011, article. They eventually disappeared out of sight. The day was very sunny, no clouds in sight, about 10 a.m.”

Two days later the same witness was traveling about one mile away on a country road, when another identical object was seen moving overhead.

“I grabbed my binoculars and saw the craft turn slightly upward and disappear into the sky. I know these are not airplanes; there were no wings, no sound or trail and hovered rather than flew.”

No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report, which was filed on October 10, 2011. The events occurred on October 7, 2011. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

Two ‘black band’ cigar UFOs spotted over Michigan

A Waterford, MI, witness reports watching two cigar-shaped objects with “a dark spot in the center” crossing the sky without sound that moved into a cloud “and never came out,” according to recent testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The “black band” on the cigar-shaped UFO has been reported in several other cases recently; and the cigar shape in particular has been reported more frequently this year than in the past several years.

The witness first thought the object was an airplane reflecting the sun.

“I looked directly at the object from its side, which was facing me to the east, as the object itself traveled in a northerly direction,” the witness stated. “From my standpoint, it became obvious that the craft had no wings, but at first appeared to be all white in a cigar shape with a dark spot in the center.”

The witness described the object.

“I could hear no noise from it that I could tell and I also noted that the dark spot toward the object’s center may have been due to a change or irregularity in the object’s shape and construction. Possibly this was an illusion created by the sun’s reflection off the object’s bright, white surface due to such a shape. The object held its course at a steady air speed and entered a large cloud.”

The object then flew into a cloud and disappeared.

“A couple minutes passed as I continued to observe the sky where it went into the cloud and the surrounding sky; and I just figured I better get back to work.”

Then a second object was seen moving along the same flight path.

“Because of the sun’s angle at this point, I could seemingly, more clearly, determine a much more definite shape to the object. It appeared to be like two swimming pool lane buoys attached one behind the other so that the object’s center between the two buoy-like sections of the object appeared defined. Still no sound and the object continued on the same flight path until it too entered the huge cloud formation and just never came out that I am aware of.”

The witness found a video from a previous UFO sighting that “seems to be precisely” what I witnessed – and you can link to that video here.

The MUFON report was filed on September 26, 2011. The events occurred on September 24, 2011. No images or videos were included with the report. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

Here’s another one from Michigan. this one is said to have possible flames propelling it,

Cigar UFO crosses skies twice over Croswell, Michigan

A Croswell, MI, couple reported two encounters with a cigar-shaped object that was bright white “with a dark spot in the middle,” according to August 16, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

During a clear blue sky, the first observation was at 7:20 p.m. on August 15, 2011, when the couple was sitting outside on a porch and noticed an “ibuprofen-shaped object, bright white with dark spot in the middle at about airplane height.”

“Moved at about the same speed an airplane would,” the reporting witness stated. “No wings. It was not an airplane. It moved in straight path and seemed to be moving farther away (growing slightly smaller).”

Then looking through binoculars, they noticed flames coming out of one end “as if propelled by fire.”

“It looked like, perhaps, a missile, although I have never seen a missile. It also looked like what I would imagine a thruster that falls off a space shuttle might look like. I saw this object in the same area, and moving in the same direction of sky where I have seen the orange yellow orbs, which I have made past reports on. We lost sight of object when it moved past the tree line.”

They included a sketch of the object with their first report.

But then the couple returned outside at 8:15 p.m. on August 15, and saw what may have bee the same object, but now traveling in the opposite direction.

“The object was cigar shaped, about the size of a long Ibuprofen pill. It was bright white, as if made of glowing white light, with a dark spot in the center. My husband grabbed the binoculars and we both saw that this time there were not flames coming out of one end, but when we saw it earlier it definitely appeared to have flames coming out as if propelled by them. It was moving to the southwest, towards the general area of Yale. We watched it for about 4 minutes, and it got smaller and smaller as if moving farther away.”

No photos or videos were included with the MUFON report. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Croswell is a city in Sanilac County, MI, population 2,647.

A similar case was reported in Tennessee on August 13, 2011, in MUFON Case # 30888. “Bright white or silver cylinder shaped with a void or band between two halves travelling in a NE direction.” Witness included one photo, and one illustration of the object. Both cases refer to a “dark spot” or “dark band” at the center of the object. Special thanks to MUFON STAR Team Manager and Chief Investigator of Texas Fletcher Gray for the case comparison.

Last but not least, here is the report from Minnesota:

Minnesota witnesses: Cigar UFO had ‘black bands’ at middle

Two Minnesota witnesses report a “shiny, chrome, cigar-shape” UFO moving silently overhead with two black bands at the middle, according to August 25, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

This particular description with the “center band” has been reported multiple times across the country recently. The cigar shape itself has a long UFO history too.

The two witnesses were standing in the Wilmar Wal-Mart parking lot at 3:30 p.m. on August 24, 2011, under a clear blue sky when the object moved overhead traveling east to west “in a straight line.”

“We could see that there were no wings or other structures on the craft,” the reporting witness stated. “The only other detail was that there were two black colored circles on the bottom middle of the craft. I would look at the object, look away, then look at it again to make sure it was actually what it appeared to be. I did that a couple of times. I watched it maintain a slow straight path.”

They expected to at least hear some type of sound coming from the craft, but heard nothing.

“There was no sound coming from the craft as you would hear from a normal aircraft.”

The craft then disappeared.

“Then, as we were watching it, it just simply vanished. It did not zoom off anywhere, it just disappeared.”

The witnesses provided a sketch of the object – Image # 1. No photos or videos were included with the MUFON report. Willmar is a city and the county seat of Kandiyohi County, MN, population 19,610. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

If I were to guess, I’d say these are likely having something to do with weather or the military. Then again, what do I know?
