While we look to the strange and paranormal, almost all we see is not real. Sometimes we forget that real life is often much more horrific and terrifying than any monster or bump we hear in the night.
Real fear comes flooding in when we begin to accept a situation we can no longer control, a situation that we know will end badly, with no loved ones around because they are suffering the same fate….somewhere else.
Imagine someone bashing down your front door and not only taking you away in chains, but pulling each family member in a different direction. Your children torn from you screaming and begging for your help as their little faces become smaller and smaller until you can no longer hear their cries.
We live in a world full of monsters, sadistic monsters who are also human beings. These human beings are different though as they will inflict pain and suffering upon you while others of their kind a hundred miles away are promising a party for your children if they just enter this strange building.
If you haven’t already caught on, this is the Holocaust and these images courtesy of The Daily Mail are the faces of death……
It is estimated that over 6 million “undesirables” met their fate in Nazi prison camps. We blame one man most of all for these atrocities, but if you stop and think, Germany, a country of culture, intelligence and innovation was collectively brainwashed into allowing such horrors to take place. In this case, anyone who stood by or supported the activities of the government and military were complicit. On the other hand, there is all kinds of fear and many who apposed Hitler’s regime were just too afraid to do anything.
On the other side of the coin, it seems that lessons were not learned as it is estimated that 500,000 to 2 million Germans were killed in the German Expulsion following WWII. Is vengeance really the answer?
Romans 12:19 – Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord….
As we enter Passover week you don’t have to be Jewish to see what can easily happen under the right conditions. It’s important to see how easily people can be led into doing and supporting things that from the distance of time look unfathomable. However, mass persuasion, subliminal seduction and brainwashing go on each and every day, all over the world and here at home. If you don’t think so, take a look at that I-Phone you had to have and try to come up with an honest reason as to why you chose it. Just a few steps more and you are doing or supporting the unimaginable.
Recent history shows that we are no better as time passes. The world is filled with sadistic leaders who even as we speak are committing atrocities in their own countries while many of us are oblivious to the fact that people are dying in mass for nothing more than being who they are.
Any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such:
1. Killing members of the group;
2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical 4. destruction in whole or in part;
5. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
6. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
Some of the most recent history of people being systematically exterminated in mass are as follows:
The Oromoo of Etheopia
The Kalma Camp in Darfur, Sudan
The Killing Fields, Cambodia
The Tibetans, Tibet
And the list goes on….
A big thank you goes out to The Daily Mail for reminding us that the most important part of Civilization is ‘Civil’. We’d also like to thank Operation Broken Silence for reminding us that genocide is not something you spray in the garden.
