I grew up in rural NWPA, surrounded in forest. I took an early interest in cryprozoology and sharks and have read many books on various crypto subjects such as Bigfoot and Megalodon over the years. I am not a professional writer or a journalist, but I do the best I can. I have a quirky, obscurely dry and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor than can get me in trouble. Some love me and some hate me, but I am who I am.

I spent some rare searching time over at liveleak and found something that is particularly mind blowing.

While I would think there is a logical explanation for this phenomena, I have yet to come up with an answer.

Watch below as a cloud formation moves erratically in fractions of seconds:

I did some snooping on other sites and found opinions for this anomaly to include: Camera manipulation, aliens, HAARP, the sun, clear plastic sheeting, etc….Comments ranged from the very scientific to the extremely absurd.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say little to nothing. Actually, that’s not exactly true. I will say that this brought to mind all the abnormally intense weather patterns and climate shifts, however, I am not all in on that explanation. It’s entirely possible that we are all being taken for a ride. When I say “we”, I mean me and when I say “ride”, I mean….ride.

Actually, this is not something new. As we can see below, such phenomena does occur from time to time. Still very cool though.

I’m sure the readers will have plenty of assumptions….Uhh, I mean, opinions on this.

It’s a quickie! Enjoy!

  • I can honestly say that aside from an aftereffects/motion type answer, this one stumps me. Cloud cover is big and slow… it does not move like this. Reflections could, but then, what is the light reflecting off of? Thanks for putting the second video up… that seems to make the computer manipulation option much less likely. If I had to speculate about a non-plausible answer that best fit what I’m seeing, I’d have to say some sort of cloaking technology.

Well I sure think it’s a natural occurrence But very interesting. No not a UFO or Aliens. LOL

It seems to act like light reflection but have no idea what the phenomenon is. I’m sure it will be on the weather channel soon once this goes viral.

  • Adam Young

i know of a similar phenomena know as after effects

The movements of these clouds really remind me of the Northern Lights. I am in no way a scientist, but could the charged particles of moisture in these clouds be reacting to some kind of magnetism? Both instances seem to be of storm clouds…

  • baldrick69

The clouds are being recorded through a glass roof. Water droplets on the roof are moving making it look like its the clouds moving.

Hey guys, Phil Plait says it’s a natural reaction between ice crystals and electricity, just rarely seen by us humans:

    owls and UFOs

Thanks Melanie, but I addressed this already, thanks to your namesake.

Shooting through distorded glass or plexiglass usually does that, yes. What’s so special about the footage again?
