Richard Hoover Martian Conspiracy

Richard Hoover Martian Conspiracy

Not as revelatory as it might sound. Hoover is not claiming anything about a Reptilian conspiracy cover-up, or that Grays are hybridizing human clones in an X-Files style hidden laboratory filled (for some reason) with killer bees. But what he is claiming is disturbing enough, and he is one of a very few people in position and with credibility enough to make such claims amid questions of whether or not evidence of alien life in the form of microbes has been found during the recent passage of a meteor shower

In an article on Wired.com

According to Hoover, he hasn’t just found suggestive chemical traces, but complex filament-like structures that could only come from bacteria. But almost no nitrogen was found in the meteorites, consistent with what’s seen in ancient fossils in which nitrogen has degraded. The meteorites landed on Earth within the last few centuries; for their fossils to be nitrogen-free, they would have needed to form thousands of years before crashing here.

“This finding has direct implications to the distribution of life in the cosmos,” wrote Hoover, with great understatement.

According to a Huffington Post article NASA is not remaining silent on the accusations.

NASA Disavows Scientist Richard Hoover’s Claim Of Alien Life
Top scientists in different disciplines immediately found pitfalls in a newly published examination of three meteorites that went viral on the Internet over the weekend. NASA and its top scientists disavowed the work by noon Monday.

Maybe so, and I am not one to jump on the conspiracy bandwagon,  but the problem I have with this statement is it sounds an awful lot like a conspiracists claim. Use of terms like “Top Scientists” can be a red flag. Understandably, NASA is going to be slow to announce any findings without being 100% certain after the announcement in 1996 of the Allan Hills 84001 meteorite turned out to be a mistake.

Though controversy continues in that case, as it is brought up in the video above. To be fair, that is a bit of a red flag against Hoover unless, as he suggests, it is all just part of the cover-up. And then your brain just starts spinning its gears and you get a headache.

Among the comments on the video are such as:

“NASA Knows life is on Mars. It is all about full employment, they are not sapose to find it until all of the probes have been built and launched.”

And, really? The second life is found on another planet, I would say that justifies past and future expense on exploration. It focuses efforts of study rather than choosing random locations and a scatter-shot approach to the search which make people wonder if the money might not be better spent where results can be shown. Do we really think that as soon as life is found, anywhere, we will just have a success party and stop research with a pat on the back and a “job well done.” I really don’t think so.

I have found cause to question some of NASA’s decisions, or lack of, or at least lack of communication on the results of study of various anomalous findings on Mars.
